Autumn musings: seasonal and inner shifts
It’s been almost two months since I wrote a blog. Korea has a few public holidays in September and October so Mbali and I took advantage of them by exploring quite a bit. The wonderful autumn weather combined with the many festivals held in Korea this time of year made for some amazing adventures! We also added another interesting layer to our friendship, both getting Covid-19 for the first time after one of our trips. After living in different countries each year of the pandemic (Taiwan, 2020; South Africa, 2021; and South Korea, 2022), the virus finally caught up with me. Fortunately, the worst of my symptoms just felt like a bad cold for a few days. Lastly, I have been feeling a lot more comfortable and settled in Korea; the feelings of discomfort have gone and I find myself incredibly happy.
